Dragon Ball Super Super Hero Can FIX What GT RUINED. Here's Why.

Dragon Ball Failed Pan considerably with her character being completely unlikable with the fans. However, Dragon Ball Super Super Hero can fix it thanks to the new story.

Now it goes without saying that this character has had quite the journey amongst the Dragon Ball fandom. It started off strong, then took a very major turn for the worse (remaining the same for decades, the dub making it even worse!) and then recently has started to recover somewhat in ther eyes of the community. Today we are talking about the daughter of Gohan and Videl. Pan: the quarter Saiyan who is very much whole...some.

Now why are talking about her right now exactly, Masako? Well I felt it would only be fitting that we would close out our Super Hero main character musings, three weeks or so before we get the actual movie with the final character who is going to be a main presence within said movie...but, curiously enough, this character has been kinda mistreated by some of the previous Dragon Ball media. As you could probably tell from our opening gambit, Pan has had a time of it in trying to figure out what kind of character she was destined to be. Today's discussion will talk about what we think she will ultimately become and why we reckon that her personality and placement within this movie and what's to come will help steer Dragon Ball into its next phase of existence...no we can't have the 00s eras of DBZ anymore. We've talked about that fact countless times now, we just gotta deal with it and learn to move on.

You know, there are many things that CAN be remembered fondly about GT. A few years ago, I would've been universally PANNED (see what we did there?) for thinking positively about GT...but that seems to have changed in recent times. I don't know whether it's nostalgia-goggles starting to ring true, the prequel/sequel empathy kicking or whether it's just us growing up and realising the true goals of the series comign to the fore...but in many regards, certain aspects of the show have genuinely become somewhat of cult classics within the community. Super Saiyan 4, Ascot Trunks, Baby, Black Smoke Shenron...there are quite a few things that we dig about the series; amidst all the other more rushed decisions. And one thing you cannot deny was good, the music. Sure it wasn't your typical Kikuchi score, but the soundtrack was still quite a banger! I still stand by the fact that the Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta theme feels like Christmas. Look it up. But one very major problem, however, remains...and I don't think it's going to change no matter how rose-tinted our memories become with age. I think you all know what I'm talking about. It was the portrayal of Pan.
